Universal Bangkok leaves for finishing location

The MS Universal Bangkok has left the Wuhan yard in China on the 16th of February under its own steam and will proceed to its finishing location in Nantong (near Shanghai). There the ship will be completed, painted en readied for the trial run.
The Universal Bangkok is the fourth ship in the series of 57.000 DWT bulk carriers.
Delivery Universal Baltimore

The third 57.000 tons bulk carrier in Universal Marine’s fleet, the Universal Baltimore, has been delivered on the 7th of December 2011 by the Chinese yard. Below pictures have been taken during the christening of the ship in Shanghai. The ship was baptised by Mrs Sabine Kuhl, partner of the director of Euroteam Chartering BV, Mr Gerard Glazenburg.
As usual, the Chinese yard went big with firework and lion dance. Fortunately, the inclement weather had no effect on the festivities.
The vessel will go into a pool with Thorvald Klaveness Group after delivery. The ship will trade worldwide.
